He who laughs last thinks slowest
Yeah yeah, I know. I've been busy and will continue to be for some
time. I got a few Contempt pics
with lame commentary. I'm going to AC this weekend (Atlantic City for
you non-Jersey folks, whoever you may be) but, alas, I am going to work, all
weekend long. I've never been to a casino before and I doubt I'll get
into one this weekend. the sad part is, if I get some free time, I'm
more likely to find a theater to see
Land of the Dead then to hit
a casino. Zombies are way cooler than gambling anyway. But I'll
get a little taste in Montréal. Yeah, I'm going to spend the most
patriotic holiday, not only in Canada, but in French Canada.
T&C want to hit a casino while we're up
there. I'm also traveling with
Li & Josh and apparently
Maria too. That's a nice week
break. Sometime next month I will be commuting up to Wyckoff twice a
week or more. The excitement never ends.
I'm going to use this space to plug Anathema Device. 11ish at Rare on Saturday July 16th! Then go to Contempt afterwards.

I never saw
You should have known
The sun was in my eyes
So, I'm finally updating or something. Life's been busy lately.
Work has been busy. My company got a new account, the municipality of
Atlantic City, and while I haven't been going there, others have leaving me
to handle many of the local issues. So yeah, weeknights I'm usually
tired. Then there's the weekends.
May 7th was an Anathema Device
show. It was their best show yet. Completely forgot my camera
though.
May 14th was my BBQ. Lots of fun
with friends.
May 19th was Star Wars. It kicked ass.
May 21st was the Antisocial Music
show. got to see Dan conduct his peace and an amusing piece involving
spoons.
May 28th was Contempt. once
again I forgot my camera, which is too bad because everyone looked fabulous
that night.
May 30th was a Memorial Day gathering at T&C's as well as the
Atomic Box
show. Their best show to date, plus
tats plus I got street parking and Baker paid my admission. Rock!
Add in a couple trips to QXT's and I've
been a pretty busy guy.
So, this weekend I laid low. Went out on Friday, hung out with Sean
and crew on Saturday, went to my cousin's graduation party today.
It's been a fun time, even though it's been tiring.
This Wednesday, after a fun day at work I get to go back to work at 9:30pm
(yup, you read that right, pm) to update a server. See, it's something
that needs to be done after hours and since they have an office in Reno, NV,
after hours are much later.
This Friday is a fun party at
Dr Atomic's abode. Followed by a Saturday of Indian buffet and
hanging out.
The following Saturday is Contempt.
Then on July 2, I head off to the great white north for a week.
Well, at least I'm having fun.

Time keeps on slipping slipping slipping into the future
I'm exhausted right now, but wanted to say, yes I'm still here.
I've just been really busy and those nights that I haven't been busy, I
really haven't been in the mood to update the site. Kind of like
today.
I got lots of pics to upload and stuff to you know do things with...

Nothing vital, usually nonsense, but it's easy to update from anywhere.
OK, I gotta run get some TP, and maybe some dinner or something.

So long and thanks for all the fish.
Oops. Kinda forgot about this...heh. Actually I thought I
had updated more recently, good thing I didn't mock Li like I was planning
on doing. Bad webmaster, bad bad BAD! Yes, so for those of you
paying attention, this is the fourth year I've had this site, or as I like
to call it, yeariv. I paid up for two more years, so while I may be
busy or lazy or whatever, you can at least rest easy that the current
content isn't going anywhere for a while.
So, where have I been? Well, I've been playing with my new PC.
Replaying my games to see how they run now. Half-life 2, Doom 3,
Battle for Middle-Earth. Sweet.
More recently, I bought a wireless keyboard. It's pretty cool except
it doesn't always get my shift-letter strokes so I miss my caps sometimes.
Praise be to spellchecker. Even more recently (today), I got more RAM
(now I have 2 gigs) and Windows XP x64 (For free! And, it's totally
legit!. That's the 64-bit version of Windows. Which should work
nicely with my 64-bit processor. That I plan on upgrading this
weekend.
Outside of the PC world, my DVD player was dying. It would play for a
bit then start pausing randomly. I tried a lens cleaner to no avail.
So, I went DVD shopping and found another dilemma. See, my stereo has
5.1 Channel imputs, that's 6 different wires. Unfortunalty, most of
the DVDs nowadays, do not have those outputs. they just have a single
digital audio output. Those that didn't were really expensive and
often would not play all formats (such as DVD-R, MP3 CD etc) Damn, so
in order to get digital sound I'd have to replace my stereo?
Fortunately, I still had my old 5 disk CD changer in my parents' basement.
Well, I was plann9ing on doing the whole upgrade, when one day, while out
buying a wireless access point for a customer, I glanced at the DVD section
of the store and lo and behold, there was what I was looking for! 5.1
channel output and plays all formats at a decent price? I must be
dreaming. I looked down, it must be out of stock. nope, there
are 5 boxes right below. It's a different model. I check the
model on the box, then on the DVD, then on the box, then on the DVD, then on
the box. Nope it's the right one! W0000t! So, bought it
and brought it home and Viola, new DVD player (as a footnote, about a week
and a half later, I finally got the 5 disk player from my parents.)
As for my outings, I've gone to QXTs, The
triumphant return of Atomic Box,
Contempt and a
belly dancing show at a Turkish
restaurant in Hackettstown (you heard that right, there's a Turkish
restaurant in Hackettstown.)

Yeah, so 3 of the next 4 weekends, I'll be in NYC. I need less friends
there.
I guess that's all for now. Hopefully I'll remember to update more
often. Bad me.
