What is your major malfunction numbnuts?!
No real update.  Yeah I'm lazy this week.  Though there was apparently a power outage today, so I had to change my answering machine message.  It's not funny or nuthin now, it's just there until I get inspired.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when my fear is gone I will turn and face fears path, and only I will remain.
So enjoy yourself if you get the current main page joke.
I learned a couple of things this weekend.
One:  Apparently for Ed, having a website is a competition.  Apparently he feels 'successful' if his site is better than mine.  I think Ed must not be very good at building websites if he pics MINE as his measure of what to beat.  I mean, it's absolutely no challenge to have a better website than mine.  C'mon Ed.  Trying prove yourself a superior web designer by competing with my site is like trying to prove yourself a superior country by invading Iraq.  You need to pick something that will challenge you.  Jeez.
What is it with all these Waldwick/Bergen county kids and competing for everything anyway?  They can never seem to do anything just for fun.  Just try playing wacky golf with Goostah.  C'mon it's WACKY GOLF.  Loosen up already and just have some fun.  You don't always need to win to have fun people!!!
Two:  Apparently Curious Georgie and The Red Maguire are apparently afraid of my site because it 'disturbs' them, so they will no longer come here.  This amuses me to no end.  Well, there is an end somewhere, but it's really far away.
So, this weekend was ok.  It was not abnormal at all, because everyone knows that the 50s is the perfect temperature for MAY!
So Friday, I did something.  Something something.  Something.
Saturday I saw The Matrix again with peeps, then we went to Bennigans for yums then back to la casa de moi for hangings out.
Sunday was the big BBQ at T&Cs.  It was lots of fun.  They were even nice and got me a cake.  Theys good people. I took a few pics, but then my batteries in my camera died.
Today I hung out mostly.  I rented Enter the Matrix and had fun playing it for a bit.  I am not the most coordinated gamer on the earth.
So I also have been struggling with this fun cough lately.  But it's just a dry cough and shortness of breath.  How serious could it be?

So the other week, I took some pics of my work...because I can.  So go see what I see every damn day.
I also, finally posted the Atomic Box pics from their show.  Alas, my wit was not up to par on these.

I really don't know what to put for the pic of the week, so you'll have to settle for this.

I think I have it. A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself.
Or just as mad.
Or just as mad.
And he does both.
So there you are.
Stark raving sane.
Hooray for numbers that are multiples of 10!!!

Check out this scene from the last Buffy, full of fun references.

Shouldn't we be doing something... constructive?
What did you have in mind? A short, blunt human pyramid?
Alack alas alsomething.
So, the week was a busy one, and so was the weekend, of sorts.
Friday night was spent in the typical fashion of a single guy.  Watching Amelie and eating a cheese sandwich.  Yup.
Sat was spent playing video games and watching We Were Soldiers.  Then in the evening I headed off to the city.  I ended up going from Harrison because parking in Hoboken is astronomical, but still less than parking in the city.  I took the PATH in and got to the Batcave.  As I was coming in, I heard an Atomic Box song playing and thought, oh crap, I'm late.  But as I ran downstairs, I found out it was just the sound check.  Dan was there so we chatted.  Then The Box went on and they were good.  I really dug their new song "As Yet Untitled", which isn't the real name, I just called it that because it hasn't got a name yet.  Their new guitarist sounds good, and I hope they have some more shows soon.  Afterwards, We went to Baker's for a bit, then Dan, Baker, Melissa and I went to Figaro's for some dessert/snackage.  After this I retired to my home, well after this and about 2 hours transit.
Sunday, AKA today, I did the morning D2 with Ed, which was fun until battle.net crapped out on us.  Then I met up with ROSS at The Clay Oven for Indian yummies.  And fun chatting.  Then it was off to see the Fam, for a fun afternoon of hauling stuff.  My dad and I borrowed, no seriously borrowed, my company van and went to pick up a mattres (leave the last s off for savings) for my sister.  Then we went to Home Depot (I want to open a store called Home Despot.  I think it would work.  Your own tyrant in your home.) for some landscaping ties and some plywood and paneling.  Heavy stuff when it's added all up.  Then, after returning the van (see), my dad grilled up some salmon and we had a nice meal together.  YUM.  Joyous times were had by all.

This Tuesday is the final episode of Buffy.  Me=sad.
I have pics from the Atomic Box show and will get them up once they're all resized and such.
And I  got nothing else to say.
Here's the pic.  My cousin took it.  I think it's pretty neat.

Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself.
So apparently PA is closer to NJ than CA.  My paycheck was mailed on 5/12 and was deposited on 5/14.  I guess the time it took a week and a half was a wacky fluke.  Sorry, Meg, you lose.  But thanks for playing and you will be given your life time supply of tombstones on the way out.  Oh well.  I need a new mouse.  Unfortunately, with my gamer mentality, the kind of mouse I want costs around $60.  That is not in the budget right now.
Well, off to work and then to see The Matrix Reloaded tonight.  Yippee.

WOW!

Random thought:  how did the breadbox become the standard for all size comparison?  I mean people always ask, "Is it bigger than a breadbox?"  I mean why a breadbox?  Most people now a days don't even know what a breadbox is (We had one when I was growing up...sigh...I'm old.)

Well, when I'm with a boy I like, it's hard for me to say anything cool, or, or witty, or at all. I-I can usually make a few vowel sounds, and then I have to go away.
So today, I worked in the City.  Missed connecting with Li.  Had a guy try to sell me a watch, twice, in two different locations.  Had a Snickers and Mountain Dew for lunch.  Had lots of printer fun, including trying to remove a stripped screw.  My new boots held up well, but my legs are tiered.
Ed is using the Blanktom method of web updating.
Got some pics to post.  nothing exciting, but I need to find some time when I'm not playing D2 or CivIII.
And, I've been musing lately.  It's weird, we have all this high tech instant communication and pretty much all the people i talk to online are the same people that I talk to in the 'real world'.  Maybe we're just cheap bastards.

What are the secrets of this new source of power and destruction?
I finally found some boots today!!!  Damn big feet.
This was fun to read today, when work was a bit dull.

Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, you are a plague, and we are the cure.
Thursday...The Matrix Reloaded.  I am psyched.  Or psycho.  Or both.
So, this weekend was kinda fun.  Friday I hung out with Zak.  Just kinda hung out and chatted.  Twas fun.
Saturday, I putzed around all day playing CivIII.  Then went to the AB&G with Li, Goostah and Blanktom.  we had fun, then Tom's friend Sara showed and we hung for a bit more then left.  Woohoo.
Today I had some more D2 action with Ed and Josh.  Then did some solo D2.  Then my sis and I took my mom out for dinner.  Chinese Buffet.  Scuze me whilst I bloat for a bit.  I was kind of surprised that, for basically the first time in the recorded history of the human race my sister and I like the same band, Evanescence.  Evanescence is a great band, it's just kinda spooky that we both like them.
So, I enacted my grand experiment today.  2 weeks ago I mailed my paycheck in to get deposited (yeah, I've switched to direct deposit now) and it took over a week to get credited to my account.  Which was really bad because if all my bills had gotten cashed before then I would've been down to $20 to my name.  So what I'm doing this week, is at the same time that I'm mailing my last pre-direct deposit paycheck to my bank in PA, I'm mailing a letter to my cousin in Ca to see which one gets there first.  Well, as long as she follows instructions and emails me right away that she gets it.  Megan, if you're reading this, I meant the part about the cyborg ninja attack.  Really.
Also, don't forget that you don't want to go to see Atomic Box this Saturday.  So, whatever you do, don't email me and ask to come.
Plus Anathema Device is playing at CBGBs Gallery tomorrow night.  My attendance all depends on how my day goes.
So, I'm done now.  Here's your pic all Matrixy-like.

"How do I get to handbags?"
"Oh, they're on the lower level, you can go downstairs right over there."
"I'm afraid of down escalators! You need to respect the fact that some people are afraid of down escalators!"
"I'm so sorry Ma'am... I didn't consider that because you took the up escalator to arrive here just now. Er... the elevators are around the corner if you'd prefer that."
"Don't you know that down escalators is how you get to *looks side to side, then whispers* Hell?"
So I had a complaint that I don't update enough.
Let's see.  There was a duck in my parking spot when I got to work today.
And Shanmonster had this on her site.

Exciting, no?
Oh, I just realized that today is the 1 year anniversary of my trip to China.  We went from 5/8/02-5/22/02.  Nifty, huh?
I also saw that I had some hits from Canada.  Who are you all?  Is it you, Stephen Notley?  Sign my guestbook (in random order), let me know that you were here.

Why does any advanced civilization seek to destroy a less advanced one? Because the land is strategically valuable, because there are resources that can be cultivated and exploited, but most of all, simply because they can.
So...What's up?  Not much here.  The weekend was pretty quiet.  Friday was more B5 watchment.  Sat was a continuation of that and hanging out with Po, Mike, Carnage and Tom.  Then we went to Mo-Town with Timotheus and met Jack to see X2.  The movie was really good.  They did a good job with all the characters and the plot.  They even set it up for another sequel, but I wont reveal any of that here.  Today involved the weekly D2 game with Ed and Josh.  Always fun.  and after that I finished season 2 of B5.  Man what a great show.
Don't forget the AB show on May 17
And here's a pic that pretty much describes my weekend.

5/2/03
these wounds won't seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase

So, this week, I've been mostly listening to Evanescence and watching B5 Season 2.  Not at the same time though.
