Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Well, it's time to celebrate your birthday, it happens every year
We'll eat a lot of broccoli and drink a lot of beer
You should be good and happy that there's something you can eat
A million people every day are starving in the street
Your daddy's in the gutter with the wretched and the poor
Your mama's in the kitchen with a can of Cycle Four
There's garbage in the water
There's poison in the sky
I guess it won't be long before we're all gonna die
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Who'da guessed that this thing'd last a year. Not me really. Yeah,
so if you look back in the archives you'll see that my
first entry on this mad rollercoaster ride
happened a year ago. Well, a year ago tomorrow. And the page is now
actually more plain than when I started. Damn, I got worse. Eh, what
can you do?
So, it was a busy weekend. Thursday I drove all the way up to the AB&G to
hang out with a bunch of people, but ended up just hanging out with Gusta and
Tom. Later that evening I apparently turned into
Catherine, but I don't remember
this. I must have blacked out.
Friday was a fun day. I went to a customer's place to setup their
satellite internet on their network in the morning. 6 hours later, I left.
Boy was THAT fun! Then, after work, I went shopping for new boots as mine
are in the process of disintegrating. I went to 4 different shoe stores
and found nothing decent in my size. You know what it means when a guy has
big feet? IT MEANS HE CAN'T FIND A DECENT PAIR OF BOOTS THAT FIT!!!!
Then in the evening, I met up with Elyzium and we went to
Irving Plaza to see
Cold. It was a good show, and I
had much fun. We did the obligatory diner run afterwards to Eagle Rock
diner.
Saturday involved putsing around all day until evenink when Po came over and he,
Carnage and I went out to Mo-town to see
Identity.
Hey, remember when I used to do these movie reviews with lil pictures of the
movie poster and all? Yeah, me too. To avoid spoiling the movie for anyone
if you want to know about it just hold down your mouse button and run it over
the next part. The concept of the movie was really
cool. It took the whole multiple personality thing and explored it in a
new way. I didn't like how they revealed that it was multiple
personalities so early. I figured it out halfway through the film and
thought that at that time it was pretty obvious for anyone paying attention.
There was another twist at the end as to who the killer was, but I think that
should've been secondary to the main twist of the MPD and that should've been
kept secret longer. But it was a very tense movie in spots and the acting
was great. So, despite it's flaws, go see this movie. There you go.
After the movie we headed to Cutters to see Matter, and by 'we' I mean Po and I
cuz Carnage went home like a little sissy-boy. Matter that night consisted
of just Matt and Er (AKA Damien). Also in the audience was Cathy, Chris,
Xixi, Mike and Blanktom of Doom. (I only call him that cause...well there
is no reason, it just sounded funny in my head.) It was a fun evening for
all.
Today, being Sunday, involved some D2 with Ed and Josh which resulted in a
breakdown into confusion and us getting separated and lost me getting kicked out
and not being allowed back in, with a message saying the realm was down even
though Ed and Josh were playing on it.. Wooo. More putzing ensued
for the afternoon, and Then I watched
X-men and ate dinner. then went over to Sean and Giner's to hang for a
bit. Then came home and updated my website.
Baker just sent me the set list for the May 17
AB show at
The Batcave. I'm all excited.
Li got tix for The Weakerthans
at Maxwell's on June 3. I'm even
more excited.
This week, season 2 of B5 comes out on DVD. The excitement grows.
I think I'm gonna pick up Evanescence at some point to. Insert excitement
statement here.
Oh, and if you're ever driving the Porkchop Express on a dark and rainy night
and see a pic of the week, you just do
what ol Jack Burton does.
Ok, that's about all.
Maybe some time over the next year, I'll make this place more cozy and purty
like.
See you all in the funny pages.

We're talented and bright. We're lonely and uptight. We've found some lovely
ways to disappoint, but the airport's almost empty this time of the year, so
let's go play on a baggage carousel. Set our watches forward like we're just
arriving here from a past we left in a place we knew too well.
Easter baybeeeee...
Umm...so, Friday I played Diablo II all night. Yeah, I'm too cool for
words.
Saturday morning I cleaned *GASP* and then Zak and crew came over for some DnD
action. Zak's bro joined us and he was pretty cool. Later that
evening, Li n I were joined by Carnage, PM, Cathy, Rosie, Timotheus, Blanktom,
Da Gusta and ROSS went to El Coyote for yummy goodness. After Li, Tom n
Gusta came back to the apt and Bri and Jess joined us to hang out for a bit.
Sunday, AKA today, was Easter and I had some D2 action with Ed in the morning,
then went to visit the fam. My dad was nice and fed me breakfast. We
then hung out and watched half of I
am Sam and Tron. We
then went to my aunt's for dinner. For dessert we had lots of cakes,
including a lamb cake which we slaughtered. Quite literally actually, we
cut it up and put some strawberry topping on it to look like blood, then I stuck
a big knife in it's head.
Ah, my family is fun....
Not much else I can think of right now.
To get you all psyched up for May
17th. Here's the Pic of the
week!
4/17/03
Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken.
Watching a movie about crazy people does not make you crazy. It can
make you feel close though. You ever watch a movie about a crazy person
and feel jealous of them? Umm....me neither...
So anyway, have been kinda lazy webwise this week. Was gonna update last
night but had server issues so didn't really try. Saw
Bulletproof Monk last night.
Twasn't all that good. Rather clichéd. I mean, the bad guy was a
Nazi. C'mon! Anyway. I also went to the Isle of Staten
yesterday for work. That was fun. Spent a total of about an hour
working and 4 hours on the road. Joy.
So here's some interesting or fun stuff for you.
SUV attacked by
emu. In NJ!! That's right! An emu.
Operation Iraqi Freedom. They really appreciate it.
Weapons inspectors in Iraq? Only if they're from the USA, baby!
And don't forget to shizzle your website.
Do I have anything else to say? Should I say anything else? Did I
leave the oven on?
4/13/03
I bet you'd stick your head in the fire if I told you you could see
Hell...but you're too stupid to realize you got a demon stickin' out your ass
saying, "Holy Miss Moley, I got me a live one."
Well have nothing to say really, because with the exception of the movie on
Friday, I basically did nothing all weekend but surf the net, play video games
and watch TV. Woohoo.
Here's your precious pic.
I just found
this really cool piece of news.
And
this is quite amusing.
4/12/03
The circle is now complete...
The 15th Century, 4/11:
Vlad the Impaler concluded a banquet of the nobility by impaling nearly 200 of
his startled guests.
The 21st Century, 4/11:
House of 1000 Corpses is released upon an unsuspecting populace in the US.
YES! The movie was great.
It was entertaining and gory and everything I expected it to be. It
harkens back to the old days of film where violence was there because it was.
If you like the old fashioned hack/gore/splat movies, go see this one. If
not...stay very far away...
I feel like I had something else to say, but I forget what that is. Oh
well.
4/9/03
though I did like the
These-are-not-killer-robots-these-are-just-ninja's-in-training
yea that's a funny joke to play on people
I especially like the part when the children are like, me love you Mr. Ninja
thank you for saving us from the evil warlord, they the robot punches a hole
through the kids face
See, alliances are fun.
I really have nothing to say today. I was home sick, trying to recover
some strength since I have to work in The City tomorrow. I wasn't even
going to update until I discovered that Li
was updating and I couldn't let her beat me. So...um...yeah...alliances...
And it looks like
Operation: Perpetual Warfare is right on schedule.
4/8/03
We will export death and violence to the four corners of the Earth in defense
of our great nation.
Ah, W, the great peacemaker.
Well here are a few tidbits that I found today.
http://www.commondreams.org/views03/0316-08.htm
OK, 1 tidbit. Hey, Lauren, let me know if you find anything out about this
stuff.
Today, is a monumental day. Thanks to Bob,
Ed and I have formed a truce, nay,
a partnership. We will now be manufacturing and training cyborg ninjas.
You can't beat them.
Umm...that's it. I'm illin so I'm out.
4/7/03
Can you feel it, now that spring has come?
That it's time to live In the scattered sun.
Yay,
Spring! So it's was a
fun day with the snow and all. I worked with Angelo (aka bossman) this
morning moving a customer from one office to another. He then treated me
to Applebee's for lunch, plus he gave me an Italian sub because his wife got it
for him and he doesn't like them. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
So, Baker sent me some corrections for the pics I took at contempt. I
updated the page with his comments. Maybe
now that he gave me some of the go-gos names Li can articulate which ones she is
talking about, because now, only she knows.
Speaking of contempt pics, Melissa, if you are reading this and would like the
full size pic of you and Baker,
email me. Because, while commenting on the pics, he did not send me
your email address as I asked him to do.
Giner, I'm still waiting for that
reading...
Oh, and Tricia's site is officially live.
In some good news, it feels like I'm getting a sore throat...YAY!
4/6/03
Guess what? The Boogeyman is real, and you've found him.
CRAP!!!!! I broke my daily run of updates. All I can say is:
Man, I suck. So what have I been up to? I dunno, I get all my info
from this webpage same as you. So I guess we're all screwed. Or
maybe not, I might just be insane.
So....on with the show
Friday, I took the train into the city and it was way crowded. apparently
there was a Rangers Devils game that night so Penn Station was insane. So
I took the subway to Li's and we hung out with Gusta and
Jaws for a bit before
going to The Old Devil Moon. Then we went back, hung some more and went to
Contempt.
Saturday, I left Li's and headed back to Penn Station. I heard them
playing bagpipes over the loudspeaker only to realize that it wasn't over the
loudspeaker. there were people in Penn Station
playing
bagpipes.
So I returned home just in time for Scottypalooza '03. It was Scotty's
birthday and we took him to Arthur's for dinner. We were joined by Rosie,
D-mo, Giner, and ROSS. We then went back to the apt for hangoutingness and
were joined by Tom, Li, Da Gusta and Jen. Fun was had by all. So it
is written, so it shall be done!
Sunday, I got to play some Diablo II with Ed in the morning, which is always
cool, then went to Penang with me Mum, Rob and Auntie Nett. It was
sooo...goood....
Then I returned home and watched
Jackass with Scotty, Sean and Giner. all I have to say about that is
"eh."
That brings me to now.
I found out that Ed's flight was cancelled and Continental cancelled all flights
from HK till June. Sigh. Maybe one of my Robots could bring him
back.
I'm waiting for Giner to give me a number. She knows what I mean...
Still waiting for movie times on
House of 1000 Corpses. Friday, baby!!!!
And, in case you thought it was spring, we're supposed to get about a foot of
snow tomorrow. Yipee.
Here's your pic, damn you.
Tricia has a page she's setting up, but you'll have to contain your excitement
till she gives me the thumbs up to link it.
4/4/03
I find your lack of faith disturbing.
So Ed doesn't think that my
killer robots could beat his ninjas. Everyone knows that killer robots
have superior technology and sensing equipment so that ninjas great stealth
skills are pretty much eliminated. Alas I do not have some silly flash
cartoon created by someone else to show this like he does. But I'm right
and he's wrong and that's all there is to it.
4/3/03
It's a Dr Seuss thing
So, for some reason I'm trying to do daily updates this week. Yeah, I
know I don't have that much to say, but I'm doing it anyway.
So, I have this obsessive/compulsive thing about saving ticket stubs. I
have movie and concert tix going back years. All the old ones are still in
storage, but, because you are so interested, I'll share with you all the
concerts I've seen since moving into my apt.
A Perfect Circle - Mar 2, 2001 - Hammerstein Ballroom
Tool - Oct 1, 2001 - Madison Square Garden
Live - Nov 6, 2001 - Roseland Ballroom
Ozzy Osbourne/Rob Zombie - Dec 23, 2001 - Continental Arena
GWAR - Mar 1, 2002 - Birch Hill Concert Hall
Rob Zombie - Apr 18, 2002 - Hammerstein Ballroom
Tool - Aug 15, 2002 - Continental Arena
The Weakerthans - I actually don't have the ticket - Maxwell's
The Reverend Horton Heat - Oct 27, 2002 - Maxwell's
Jello Biafra - Again, no ticket stub - The Warsaw
Dance of the Vampires - Dec 7, 2002 - Minskoff Theater (Yeah I like Broadway
shows. Got a problem?)
Live - Mar 27, 2003 - Robert Collins Arena
Yeah, so money's been tighter so shows have gotten less frequent. But
hopefully I can lose some debt and see some good ones soon.
I'm not gonna even start with the movie stubs. Yeah, I keep all my movie
stubs too. Told you it was OCD.
Oh, and finally after a year and a half, apparently my old provider took my old
site down today. Alas...the end of an era.
Not sure if I'll be able to update tomorrow since I'm heading into the city
right after work for Contempt!
4/2/03
Who say me?
Me say me
Who say me say me?
Me say me say me
Who say me say me say me?
Me say me say me say me
Ah, Woody. Anyway, here's another update for this week. Nigh
daily, actually so far it is daily. What you think about that, huh?
You don't care? Eh, nothing I can do to change your mind, so oh well.
So, I was reading The Onion today and
they have a satirical article
that actually says how many people I talk to feel. It's crazy how many
people think that now that Bush has started his war, that we shouldn't speak out
against him or it anymore. Michael Moore is bad, the French are bad (well,
this is true but for many other reasons). I mean, Chris whom I work with
pretty much agreed with me before the war started that is was a bad idea, but
now he's all for it. How did this happen? Am I missing the
subliminal messages by not watching CNN?
And then there's the new Patriot
Act. Now, I don't understand all the legalese, but it seems to me that
the president is trying to increase the powers of the executive branch and make
it easier for the government to spy on us with phone taps and such. Now, I
may be paranoid a bit, I don't deny that, but what about ye olde checks and
balances? We have three branches of government with equal power.
Plus, even though I have nothing to hide, I don't want the government listening
to me. No, we don't "need more security right now".
On top of all this, two teachers in NM got suspended
for having Anti-War posters in the classroom made by students. Never mind
that there were also pro-war posters.
We're supposedly fighting for Iraqi freedom. Who will fight for our
freedom?
4/1/03
I cut the flesh and make it bleed
fresh skin is what I need
I let it dry out in the wood
all your crying did no good
So, the summer's biggest blockbuster
opens next Friday. You all are going, right?
Right?
I really have no pranks or anything to pull today. Eh, oh well.
Supposedly Li will have a big
update tonight. We shall see.
I've noticed that every Microsoft product (I'm using FrontPage for this (yeah,
I'm not a real web developer (I wonder how many parenthesis deep I can make
these comments (I suppose four is enough)))) uses someone@microsoft.com
as an email example. I wonder if there is someone at the other end of that
email? Everyone here should email them and find out for me.
Why? Because it'll be fun and because I asked nicely and publicly.
In other news: there is no other news.
Well how's this for a great prank...it's springtime...APRIL FOOLS!!! Have
some snow!!!
