He who dies with the most toys wins.
My new computer is up and running.  Pretty nice I must say.  I'm sure there will be some tweaking over the next week or so, but the transition went pretty smooth.  It helped that I just took my data drive out of the old PC and installed it in the new one.  And what of the old PC?  Well, that will be the new home to Windows Server 2003.  but not for a bit, at least until I'm sure I'm not missing anything.  So for now, here's my new baby:

And when I turn off the flash:

Yup, all glowy.

And here's the front

That panel up top has a temperature gauge, a power meter and a fan speed meter.  It also has a clock which I need to set.

Thank you Easter Bunny!
Bawk! Bawk!
Thursday was Harry Houdini's birthday.  I celebrated by escaping responsibility.
Twas a good weekend.  Against my better judgment, I went to QXT's on Friday with Jeff & D-mo.  Was fun but very crowded.  Got home late and went to bed.
Saturday, I putzed around all day until the evening when the Fam and I went out to celebrate my Dad's birthday (which was actually on Sunday, but he didn't want the Competition.)  Twas good food and fun.  That night, I went out to Contempt.  Again lots of fun with cool peoples.  I'm glad that more Jerseyites are coming out.  Pics are here.  Got home late and went to bed.
Sunday, I got up and (eventually) made my way to the Fam's house.  Due to some miscommunication, I scrounged up some food, which was yummy thanks to some creativity. Got some cool things from a giant bunny rabbit (No, it wasn't Frank).   Plus the bunny had an assistant that shops at Amazon and gives out gift certificates.  George Romero's Dead trilogy will be here shortly.  Later, we went to my Aunt's house for dinner, desert and Indiana Jones.  Got home early, watched Sky Captain and went to bed.
Was supposed to work this coming weekend, but it got delayed until next weekend.  Which is good because I'm going to a party in the city this Friday, but bad because I'm going to two parties in NJ next Friday.  Oh well.  Should be interesting.
My new computer should be in this week, so that'll keep me busy for a night or two.  Can't wait to see how Half-Life 2 looks on that baby.
Righty-o.  Catch y'all later.

Not bad. Congratulations. Tell me, was it necessary that you kill all of them? I only told you to scare them.
People scare better when they're dying.
Apparently I'm neglectful.  Tis been a good couple of weeks.  Been hitting Qs every Friday.  Almost killed myself this week.  Need to calm down on the dance floor.  My back is still a little stiff.
Got my tax money back and decided to be frugal and order a new computer.  In case you are interested, here are the stats:
CPU: AMD Athlon FX-53 64-bit
RAM: 1 GB DDR
HD: Western Digital 200GB Serial ATA w/ 8MBCache
Video: ATI All-in-Wonder X600 PRO 256MB PCI Express
On Board Gigabit Ethernet
16x40 DVD ROM
Sound: SoundBlaster Audigy Gamer w/ Firewire
Sometime in the future, I plan on getting a DVD Burner, 250-300GB SATA Hard Drive and one more GB of RAM.
Not sure of the exact speed of the processor, but from what I've seen online it beats out a 3.4GHz Intel P4 Prescott in most tests.  So, hopefully I'll put it together and everything will work ok.
Got a busy week.  2 birthdays, Contempt on Sat and Easter on Sunday.  Yup, it'll be a late morning on Sunday for me.  Thank god I don't have to go to church.
OK, I think I'm going to boil some eggs for breakfast tomorrow.
Enjoy.

Hmm, upgrades.
Been quite busy lately, or tired, or both.  Ok, so I finally have my pictures of the Gates from Central Park posted.  Very orange.  I also have the pictures from last weekend's Anathema Device show.  I forgot I took this picture of something thought to be extinct.  Wow!  A keytar!  Apparently the didn't die out in the early 90s as was previously thought.
So, what's been up?  Been having fun.  The week was mostly quiet.  Last Sunday was Li's Birthday and apparetly she had a good one.  This past Wednesday was Burke's.  A bunch of us got together on Thursday and went to Arthur's for some yummy food.  Friday, D-mo, Jeff, Sean, Adrienne and I hopped out to QXTs.   That was fun as always.  I am quite surprised how unsore I was this weekend after all that dance floor stomping I did.  Sat, I hung out with D-mo and Scott.  We caught Constantine (I used a free ticket I had, and it was enjoyable enough to see again).  then hung out and killed some brain cells watching TV.
Today I headed out to JP Lee's with T&C.  We met ROSS there for yummy mongolianness.  I spent the afternoon having fun with Turbo Tax.  Finally got it all right and and happy to report a huge tax return is coming my way.  Which will be quite helpfull in fulfilling my new computer ambitions.  Spent the rest of the afternoon installing new software and updating this wacky site.
Yup, new software.  I spent $550 for some Microsoft software.  What did I get for so much money?  Well, lots.  I got a Technet subscription which included the following software that I actually plan on using (there is plenty of other software that I have no plans for as of yet):
Office Pro Enterprise Edition 2003
Frontpage 2003
Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
XP Pro
ISA Server 2004 (maybe)
Exchange Server 2003
Of course with the exception of Office and Frontpage these will wait until I get my new system.  And yes, these are full versions of the software, not limited 180 day or whatever trial versions.  Sweet.  (Come on, Office and Frontpage along are $550 on Amazon)  And it feels good to actually have a legit version of XP, me being Microsoft Certified and all.
So, next weekend I'm sad that I'm missing out on the big Morristown St Patrick's Day extravaganza, but I'm heading down south for Craig's housewarming party.  Should be fun since I haven't seen him in quite a few months.
The 22nd is my sister's birthday.
The 26th is the next Contempt.
The 27th is my father's birthday and the day we celebrate zombie jesus hiding eggs and handing out chocolate bunnies.
April 1st is Dr Atomic's birthday.
April 4th (I think) is Scott's birthday.
April 22nd is Atomic box's triumphant return to the stage (as well as the release of their new CD so the rumors say)
Yeah, so busy times coming up.  Still got that creative project I'm working on.  Waiting for Amazon to get some material to me that I ordered three weeks ago damn them.
I guess that's it for now.
Have fun folks.
