Wanna fight?
Thems fightin words!
So today has been a slow day at work. The Faq
has been updated. Yet another exciting moment in the history of babakganoosh.com
3/30/03
All your base are belong to us.
Ok, joke's over, back to the old normal dull plain webpage. The page
was never broken, it was all in fun as pretty much everyone figured out.
If you still want to see the other page, go here.
Hey, it's time for the weekend update that I know you've all been jonseing
for like a bunch of jonsers. OK....
Thursday as well as being me Dad's birthday was the Live show. And like
many other things in my life, it went off with a hitch...sigh. Nothing's
ever easy. So, I had to run back to the car because they wouldn't let me
bring in my camera. Then on the way back I noticed my ticket had fallen
out of my pocket. So, luckily, I ran into someone who was selling them due
to a family emergency and I was able to get it for $20. Thanks much random
person. Sorry to hear about your loss.
So, once inside, I met up with Gary, who was my ride and all, and we looked for
a spot to park. The place was actually a community college gymnasium.
The stage was at one end of the gym, but there was also a track running around
like a balcony. We settled there on the side of the stage which was cool
because it was like watching from backstage. We say the opening band, Lake
Trout, leaving their dressing room and Gary shouted, "Hey! it's Lake
Trout!" the band looked up at us and smiled and waved. They were
pretty cool music-wise. At one point during their set, we looked around
the audience and noticed Ed Kowalczyk of Live standing not far from us watching
them. As he walked past, Gary's girlfriend got all excited and shook his
hand.
Eventually Live came on and they were great again! It was cool watching
from our vantage point as we could see the band and the crowd real well.
the show was great and towards the end some guy walked up next to me and took a
picture with his camera ...ARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!
Anyway, we left, got our obligatory post concert sticker (a cool one that just
says CASH, but on the back notes that it's the Johnny kind).
So, Friday, I picked up Li at the train station and we went to Sizzler for
dinner. Twas yummzies of course of course. Then we hung out at
my place with ROSS n Jack. we watched The Birdcage, some stand-up comedy
and ROSS falling asleep.
Saturday was Zak's fun game which involved 2 guys beating the crap out a gnome
with a bit of difficulty. Then T&C's house warming party. There were
many people there, much really good food, and lots of fun. At one point
curious Georgie was dancing around like a maniac and Jeff leaned over to me and
said "Pic of the week." Alas, my quick draw skills are underrated and I
missed it. So left there muy late and half slept on the way home.
Sunday, my great Penang plans were
cancelled due to illness an my aunt's part, so I went to
Indian Buffet with Sean and Giner.
Then later in the afternoon, I went with me Paw and Sis to see
Dreamcatcher. It was Ok.
Plus it had a piece from The Animatrix
before it. Now that was great. And that leads me up till now.
Any
questions?
Right, so for a lil giggle, here's the pic of
the week.
Don't forget, if you're interested in going to
Contempt this Friday, go.

I hear the rain I hear the rain I hear the rain gotta kill the
pain
So, what's rarer than Blanktom
updating his site? I finished my China
travel log. It only took me almost a year to do, but it's done!
Woooooo! I'm quite amazed how my one and a half pages of handwritten notes
can jog my memory enough to type all that I did. Maybe at some point I'll
scan those in to show you how I expanded on them. Which means asking
someone-with-a-scanner's aid (exactly how would you use the apostrophe there?)
And, for your viewing pleasure, here's Stephen's
web page. (no, not Baker). Umm... that's it for now. Oh
wait. Apparently, the URL spot in my guestbook was too small. so I
lengthened it to 50 characters. If your URL is longer than that...Damn
that sucks.
ok bye
3/26/03
it was an evening I shared with the sun
to find out where we belong
from the earliest days
we were dancing in the shadows
I've really got nothing to say. I'm going to see Live
tomorrow and that makes me cool. Well, not really, but don't tell
me. I need my illusions.
did you know that Blanktom was updated
recently? Do you know that now? If you do, go over there and look,
because I know the curiosity is just killing you.
Well, at least I get to go home in an hour...woohoo.
3/24/03
Here I come to save the day....
Hey! You made it. Now wasn't that hilarious? I'm thinking
of publishing any emails I get that tell me my page is down.
Anyway, here's my weekend.
Friday, Hell, I can't recall what I did. Hmmm...nope, no idea.
Saturday, I picked my sister up, and for her birthday, took her to an antiwar
march in NYC. For info on the march, check this
out. Afterwards, we met up with Li (who scolded me for not answering my
phone then refused to answer hers), Dan, Luke, Meegan and friend. We then
hiked to Baker's to hang for a bit, then Man n I went home. I learned that
parking on the street in Hoboken is not free during the day on weekends. I
also learned that you can pay parking tickets online with your credit card. We
went out to Joseph's for her birthday dinner with the parental units (AKA Mom n
Dad). Then we did the gift thing and digested. After chilling for a
bit, I came home and Ed and I decided to do some transcontinental Diablo II.
It was fun and I hope we can do it again.
Sunday, I chilled in the morning and watched
Below. It was entertaining,
not great but OK. In the afternoon, Sean came over and we hung, then he,
Carnage and I went to El Coyote for yummzerz. Finally, as I mentioned
yesterday, I watched the Oscars.
In other news, The winner for the guess what I did today contest is <Drum roll...>... Blanktom! He gets a discount card for the Rockaway sizzler if he even wants it. Here are the entries.
In other news,
Contempt is happening again!!!!!!!!! On a Friday!!!!! With
exclamation points!!! anyway it is on Friday, April 4 at the Jekyll and
Hyde pub downtown on 7th Ave. I'm going, if you want to join me
let me know.
Plus The Box is Back! That's right,
Atomic Box will be performing again on Sat, May 17 at 9:30 at the Batcave.
This gives you guys plenty of time to think of reasons not to go.
Also, check out the HK Chronicles.
It's all Ed all the time.
Here's the pic of the week. I just like this one.
3/23/03
We like nonfiction and we live in
fictitious times. We live in a time where we have fictitious election results,
that elect a fictitious president. We live in a time where we have a man sending
us to war for fictitious reasons
Minor update. Great speech by Michael Moore after winning an Oscar for
Bowling for Columbine.
Also, I find it great that Barbara Streisand had to announce that Eminem won best
song.
Hope to get the big update up tomorrow, with the most amusing thing I've ever
done. Well it greatly amuses me, I think it's hilarious. So stay
tuned...
3/19/03
Oh Yeah!!!!
So, here's my weekend update at last.
Friday I woke up and saw some turkeys outside my window, so I scrambled for my
camera and got this pic

Wildlife still exists in NJ.
Friday, I worked out of the office all day and when I got back our internet was
down. Still is today. It's difficult doing PC work without the
internet, let me tell you. In the evening I hung with Sean and we watched
John Doe and just, well, hung.
Saturday was the St Patty's Day pub crawl in Mo-town.
Hope the page loads ok. I typed it all up with pics and all, then it
wouldn't save. So I had to copy and paste it to word so I wouldn't lose
it, close and reopen FrontPage, then cut and paste from word back into
FrontPage. Well...whatever.
Sunday...I don't recall what I did all day, but I watched
Children of Dune that night. And
the next 2 nights as well.
I'm not gonna give you my opinion of it because I'm wacky like that. Well,
keep your contest entries rolling in.
3/17/03
Fear is the mind killer. I will face my fear and it will pass through me and
when it is gone there will be nothing only I will remain.
So it is to be war....sigh. Dunno what to do or say other than...what
a month. Oh yeah happy St Patty's Day.
Guess what I did today. No, seriously,
guess what I did today. I got more Sizzler discount cards and the
bestest entry (or only entry, depending on you guys) wins.
The weekend stuff will be coming, eventually. And for the pic of the week, here's an oldie that I'd love to find again. If anyone has this, copy it for me puh-leeze!
3/12/03
It looks like you guys are going to be surrounded.
We're paratroopers Lieutenant. We're supposed to be surrounded.
Just finished watching
Band of Brothers. What a
great miniseries. I highly recommend it to anyone. Well, almost
anyone. See there's this one guy...eh never mind, you don't want to hear
that.
Anyway, Ratgor has returned today. I thought the red scourge had been
defeated. Not sure if this is a good omen, or a sign that the worst is yet
to come.
The other day, or perhaps it was yesterday, I thought of some witty things to
say on here. Of course today, they're all gone. ALL OF THEM!
So, this weekend is the big St Patty's day parade and pub crawl in mo-town.
Should be fun, though I dunno bout the movie break this year.
And, finally, you've all heard the stories, and if you haven't, well, you don't
pay attention to me, so here's the final result of my trip to New York dressed
as a Troll. Grab your PowerPoint and pull up a chair for
The Ballad of Tam Lin. And, so you
know, the photos and slideshow were done by Celestina.
3/9/03
And the next morning, I woke up and he was using his underwear to shine my
shoes. That's when I knew I wanted to cook for him forever.
On a good note, the cult of Ratgor has succeeded in it's mission. The
red scourge is almost gone and there are now fish in the tank. All hail
Ratgor!! Savior of the Earth!!
It was a long weekend after that. Sat afternoon, I hung out with Tom, Li,
n Da Gusta. We watched
Happiness of the Katakuris. It was a highly entertaining movie.
I highly recommend it. I also started watching
Band of Brothers DVD. it's
a great series and I highly recommend it as well. Hell, I recommend
anything, just do it. Saturday night was Kevan's service, we then went to
his family's house and then to the AB&G.
Today was some more BoB and then a nap and then dinner at Tricia and Cathy's
with Tim Jeff and someone else whom I can't remember (nyeh!) Tricia made
chili and it was gooood. Gave me a boiling tummy. Tricia gave me
Photoshop, so we'll see if I have the patience to learn how to use it to spruce
up this mad page.
So, for the pic of the week, here's
Curious George.
3/5/03
Connecticut is the fifth ring of hell.
Kevan passed away yesterday. A bunch of us got together at Kat's.
Sigh. This past month sucked.
Today, I went into the city again. Ratgor was gone and the red scourge had
grown. We are all
doomed...doomed...doomed go home now!
I came home and my answering machine was off. It wouldn't turn on till I
unplugged it and replugged it. of course I had to reset it then so now my
message is new. I need to buy a 9v battery for that thing.
I had a dream last night. Kinda dumb one.
Enjoying Warcraft III. Almost
done with the human campaign.
Amidst all the chaos, I forgot Tim's birthday yesterday.
Happy birthday Timotheus.
Also forgot to mention Li's birthday on the 27th. Spoke to her though, but
we were preoccupied by other things.
3/3/03
You don't want to hurt anybody, do you?
But I do... And I'm sorry, it won't stop.
Sorry true believers, but I've been busy of late. so I have a nice
update for you. But I tricked you and put it
here.
I did have another short dream this week. Check it
oot.
Also, today I got ticket to see Live
on Feb 27. That should be fun. It's general admission, so you can
get Tickets and we could hang out there!
I think that's it for now. So for the pic of the week, here's
Stephen the Angry Human.
