Dr Pepper is the oldest soft drink in America. Originally made in Morrison's Old Corner Drug Store in Waco, Texas, the drink's unique flavor was a hit when it was first sold in 1885. Wade Morrison, the drug store owner, named it 'Dr Pepper' after Dr. Charles Pepper, a Virginia doctor who had given Morrison his first job. (The period after Dr was dropped in the 1950s.)

Dr Pepper was introduced to millions of visitors at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, where it was an instant success. Other major food products introduced at the exposition included; the ice cream cone, hot dog rolls and hamburger buns. Following this debut, Dr Pepper grew to be one of America's biggest refreshment treats.

In 1986 the Dr Pepper company merged with the Seven Up company to form Dr Pepper / Seven-Up Corporation which was later acquired, in 1995 by Cadbury Schweppes plc. It would become the largest operating division of the non-cola beverages firm, Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc.

Still one of the world's favorite soft drinks, Dr Pepper has always remained original, showing its appreciation and commitment to diversity by sponsoring multicultural programs.

For example, Dr Pepper takes pride in donating corporate patronage to the Hispanic Heritage Awards Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 1987. Dr Pepper supports the foundation in its mission to promote Hispanic Excellence, award educational scholarships and create community outreach programs.

Runner Up!!!
Li (Li confused me for herself which is why she's the runner up.)

is this for yesterday?

i got to not be at work and enjoy a bunch of the nice weather for extended periods of time. i debated getting a pint around 10-1030 whilst i was on the way to lincoln center. explored many regions of lincoln center as the instructions i had been given were incorrect. then i came back to work delivered the tickets fought with the copy machine, called xerox. went to lunch than back outside and walked two blocks over to check out some of the parade. evidently they videotape the parade at 64th street cause there was a big camera up there and the groups stopped there to do their shtick for the camera. i got stepped on a few times after about an hour i went back to work. checked my email then took a walk to the post office. it wasn't bad by the time i got back to work it was almost four. took the subway home, stopped at the fancy grocery store(the food emporium) on the way home than took the bus the rest of the way. i ate some nachos for dinner, wrote my update on my website then went over to the korova milk bar, which is undergoing some renovations. watched some heavy metal with chris and marquis (the owner of said bar) and had some orange margheritas. after that chris and i went home and i watched some t.v. then i retired to bed. i thrill you with my excitement. i'm out of control.

Everyone Else!!
Rosie

You went to work, watched the tv , played some video games, wrote on website, ate, that's what you did today?

Li's second entry

oh now i get it, its what you did. really i just wrote the other email cause work is really slow and i am tremendously bored. and self centered and figured just for the hell of it that you would want to know what i did. ok so what did you do? well you either spent the day in the office cause it was slow, or you spent it driving to one job and spending a torturous amount of time trying to fix something most likely simple, but exceedingly uncompiant. then you came home and had some dinner surfed around online and watched children of dune. than, being the awesome person that you are put the tape of children of dune somewhere so that you would remember to give it to me the next time you see me.

you went to work - in nyc - got stuck in parade traffic and never made it to the job site

And FYI I actually think Rosie was the closest, so I'll give her a card too.  It's just that Tom's was so amusing and her's was a bit too vague.  Sorry, but hey, you get a consolation prize.
