Contempt 4/04/03
At Jekyll and Hyde's
 

So we went to Contempt, which I'm not sure how much I have to say about it, but I'll say a little and show you the pics.
Well we got there early, as usual.  then we sat around for a bit and Lauren, Fenton and Craig showed up.  We went to the coat check which was right beneath the black light from hell.  Every speck of dust that had touched my shirt for the past year and a half glowed oh so brightly.  Not to mention all the dust on my glasses.  It was so powerful, it was screwing with everyone's contacts and they had trouble seeing.
So....on to the pics
And because it's Contempt, I had to make the page black.
Baker has sent me comments about the pics.  These are in yellow.  Yes I actually made the word yellow in case you didn't know what yellow is.

The "chick with the cool hair" is Christy. You may recognize her from such fabulous events as Atomic Box's first gig and Atomic Box's second gig. The guy with her (with the cross) is Brendan Gray, lighting designer oft-utilized by Anathema Device.

"Another of the go-go dancers" is Becca. She's Eve's sister, actually. And she was originally slated to be one of A.Box's dancers (check the liner notes), but (obviously) that didn't really pan out.

I'm glad you got a shot of the Rabbi guy. Usually he's wearing a robe. I think that guy's cool.

Yeah, you can probably go ahead and burn this. Although Melissa looks good, as always.

Yet another go-go
"Yet another go-go" is Kit. She did vox for Whitewash, on Planet X!.
I think Baker introduced me to her at the last contempt I went to in Nov.

It's very very rare that Melissa and I dance to the same song. You managed to catch that moment. However, I believe that song would be Anathema Device's Mescalin, and thus you should have been dancing. Shame on you.
It wasn't Mescalin because I did "dance" to that.
Oh. Then it must have been some VnV song.

Go-go a-go-go
"Go-go a-go-go" would be Kate. She makes the best outfits. According to Sal, she looks "like candy".
She makes them?  She is good.

The bathrooms are on the right in this pic, the doors just blend with the walls.

It was a fun night for everyone.  I really hope they can keep J&H.  I really liked it there.
