There and Back Again
A Journey to the Isle of Long
Here is a pictorial record of my journey out to Brentwood,
Long Island on Friday December 30 2002.
I had to do some work at the Academy of St Joseph and decided to take my new
digital camera with me to chronicle my trip.
Now, whether you care or not, you can see where I went on that fateful day.
Many of the ones I took didn't come out to well. Also, I do not condone
taking pictures while driving. I just got the camera. I was giddy
with picture taking power and quite dumb.

My (not so) trusty steed for the day awaits me.

Express or local...upper or lower decker....hmmm...

Cruising along Route 80 heading for the GWB

Paying the toll for the George Washington Bridge

Crossing the upper deck of the GWB

Heading for the Throgs Neck Bridge

Driving along the Long Island Expressway (Drove along it for quite some time
too.)

Cozy little Brentwood (If you can see through the windshield smear)

Driving down the driveway of The Academy of St Joseph

Here's the entrance to the school

Here's the view from the entrance

Here's the lobby of the school

And the cool clock at the top of the stairs

The computer room in which I worked all day

The school as I'm leaving

Leaving Brentwood and starting the long journey home

Back on the LIE (New Yorkers abbreviate everything)

Parked on the Cross Bronx Expressway behind the pickup that cut me off looking
at the 6 train.

Back across the GWB on the lower level this time

YAY! My car! I can go home!!
